Trial Date Set For Tulsa Dentist Charged With Toddler's Murder

A trial date is now set for a Tulsa dentist accused of killing a baby.

Court records show Bert Franklin's trial is now scheduled to begin on May 7th.  

Franklin is charged in the murder of 19-month-old Lincoln Lewis in July 2016.  The child belonged to Franklin's former mistress.

The police report says Lincoln's head injuries are consistent with abuse and Franklin was the only one with Lincoln at the time.

His murder trial was supposed to start back in December but prosecutors filed a charge of conspiracy to commit murder after court documents show Franklin was accused of hiring someone to kill his mistress.
