Gasoline Prices Across Green Country On The Rise

Drivers are seeing higher gas prices across northeast Oklahoma Tuesday morning and experts say those prices may go up even more later in the week.

Gas prices vary across Green Country, but in Tulsa most stations are posting $2.41 a gallon.

AAA Oklahoma says one of the reasons is spring break.  

It says more people are driving this week and so demand is much higher and so is the price.

AAA says prices are also going up because refineries are switching from their winter blends to summer blends and the summer blend is more expensive to produce.

In fact, AAA says the spring s usually when gas prices go up to some of the highest prices of the year.

If you are needing to fill up, you might want to fill up today, AAA says gas prices could up at least another 5-cents by the end of the week.
