Tulsa Police say a chase ended when the man they were pursuing crashed the truck he was driving at Tulsa International Airport.
Police said the chase started when they saw the pickup traveling at a high rate of speed just west of Lewis on Apache at about 10:45 a.m. They tried to stop him but he kept going.
Officers followed him to the airport where he drove through the arrivals area, in the wrong direction, and ended up crashing just outside of the arrivals gate.
According to police, the driver appeared high and was incapable of following verbal commands.
Police say EMSA took him to the hospital for treatment.
The man's name has not been released at this time.
A spokesperson for the airport said there weren't any flight disruptions and the arrivals area quickly re-opened to traffic.
