A man was taken into custody Monday after a brief foot chase in the Okay area of Wagoner County. A Wagoner County Sheriff's Deputy checked out a vehicle near Fort Gibson dam and discovered that the occupant, Jimmy Friddle, had a felony warrant for his arrest, according to the WCSO.

As the deputy attempted to take Friddle into custody, Friddle ran towards the lake and jumped from a small boat ramp into about three feet of water. Friddle then made his way down the shoreline in the water but deputies were able to track him and pull him from the water.

He was taken into custody around noon and was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked and treated for any injuries he might have sustained, WCSO said.
