A lock down has been lifted at Berryhill public schools after deputies arrested a suspect they said they considered armed and dangerous.
The scene is now clear in the area of W. 37th St. South and South 65th W. Avenue
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said around 1 pm on Thursday, they received a call from a woman who said she got into an argument with her adult son and that he became extremely irate.
The Sheriff’s Office said they were told that man had locked himself in a room which had numerous high powered rifles in it.
Deputies arrived on scene and tried to make contact with the suspect.
They were unable to do so for a short time. As a result, they asked Berryhill schools to go on lock down and shut down part of the street.
The Sheriff’s Office said they don't know why this incident happened.
The suspects name is not being released at this time.
The lock down has been lifted.
