Police: Child Hit By Truck In Tulsa Expected To Be Okay

Tulsa Police responded to a child being hit by a vehicle near Apache and Peoria.

They tell us the 2-year-old child is going to be okay.

It happened at about 1 p.m. in the 1000 block of East Zion Court.

Police said the child and mother returned home from the grocery store. They said while the mother was unloading the groceries, the 2 year old was playing in the driveway riding a bicycle, rolled down the driveway and was hit by a vehicle pulling a lawn trailer.

Police said the estimated speed of the truck was 10-15 miles per hour.

Tulsa Police said the child went to the hospital to be checked out but no serious injuries are expected.

Police tell us the driver of the truck is cooperating with police.
