Kansas Woman Dead, Officers Injured After Being Set On Fire

A woman and two police officers were set on fire overnight in Baxter Springs, Kansas.

The Cherokee County sheriff's office says a man assaulted Sharon Horn, 65, threw fuel on her and then set her and two Baxter Springs officers on fire.

A third officer who tried to put out the fire was hurt as was the suspect.

Horn died from her injuries.

The officers and the suspect are in the hospital.

Investigators say Horn and the attacker were acquaintances.
