An Oklahoma man who claims to have committed at least 44 other robberies across the U.S. was taken into custody Wednesday evening.

Police arrested Victor Siegrist, 54, in connection with the robberies of two Tulsa banks, including one on Wednesday afternoon. They say Siegrist robbed a Bank of Oklahoma branch in the 7100 block of South Sheridan at about 12:30 p.m.

In their arrest report, police said they got information after Wednesday's robbery that Siegrist was at a Tulsa motel. They went there, but he was not in his room.  Later in the day, police got a call that Siegrist had been spotted at Tulsa's River Spirit Casino and they arrested him there.

Police say he also robbed the Commerce Bank in the 5300 block of South Yale on September 22, 2017.

Police said Victor Siegrist admitted to the two Tulsa bank robberies and he also claimed he had committed a number of other robberies.
