Both Oklahoma State and the NCAA say they are cooperating with a federal investigation.

Now, what's next as the university and the team move forward?

It's too early to know just how much the case will impact OSU basketball - will Evans be the only staff member to suffer any consequences or will it affect head Coach Mike Boynton and/or others?

When Boynton was promoted to head coach at OSU last spring, one of his first priorities was keeping Lamont Evans on the staff. It's believed when former

OSU Head Coach Brad Underwood left for Illinois, that he wanted Evans to move with him.

That investigation means any communication OSU officials and employees take part in could be subpoenaed so there's very little to know at this point.

The bottom line - shoe companies like Adidas, Nike and Under Armour have been controlling the recruiting game for years with agents and advisors, steering players to schools.

The FBI is also investigating Louisville, and there are likely more schools to follow.

It's unclear at this point who tipped off the FBI to get the investigation started.
