A man charged with first-degree murder in a shooting outside Broken Arrow Walmart has died.
According to the Tulsa County Jail website, Caleb Lee, 25, is listed as “deceased.”
According to a jail incident report, just before 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2017, a medical emergency was called for Lee, who was found lying on the floor in his cell.
Lee was to be moved to medical for more evaluation, the report says, and as he was being escorted he became somewhat resistant and refused to get on the nurse's cart.
Officers assisted and "placed their hands on his [Lee] arms, he started to slump to the floor. Officers were able to assist him to the floor without any use of force," the report says.
Lee was then handcuffed, according to the report, and walked back to medical without incident.
They said once in medical, Lee started to convulse and foam at the mouth.
EMSA was called and Lee was taken to OSU Medical Center where he later died, the report says.
Prosecutors charged Lee with the shooting death of 27-year-old Dylan Parker, who police said was shot in the back on September 6, 2017, after Parker and Lee met for a drug deal.
