A man led police on a high-speed chase through Wagoner, which ended when he was ejected onto the grass.
"I thought he was dead," said Skyla Hathcoat, who witnessed the crash.
Hathcoat was working across the street at Braum's when she witnessed the crash.
"I looked over because I heard a lot of commotion, and I heard a big thud and the car was spinning," she said.
OHP attempted to stop the suspect for speeding in Muskogee, but the suspect took off and led police on a high-speed chase heading north on Highway 69.
OHP then notified Wagoner Police about the chase so they deployed stop sticks, but the suspect got around them.
When the suspect was almost to the intersection of Highway 69 and 51, a trooper performed a PIT maneuver causing him to crash into a semi. The suspect was then ejected from the car.
"I seen him right on the side...crawling. Just trying to run away I guess and they got him and handcuffed him," Hathcoat said.
OHP said the suspect was taken to a hospital for injuries sustained during the crash and is now in custody.
Hathcoat said she's never seen anything like this before.
"That was the first time I've ever seen a wreck that bad," she said. "It was crazy. I can't believe I witnessed it."
OHP is still investigating the incident and charges are pending for the driver.
