Pilot Injured When Ultralight Crashes West Of Coweta

Authorities say a pilot was taken to the hospital after his ultralight aircraft crashed Sunday evening in a field west of Coweta.

The crash happened north of the Arkansas River just east of 209th East Avenue in Wagoner County at about 7:30 p.m.

The Coweta Fire Department says the pilot called 911 after crashing the aircraft.

The pilot, who's name was not released, was freed from the wreckage by firefighters.  

There is no word on his condition.
