Dog Ejected From Vehicle In Turner Turnpike Wreck That Closed Inside Lane

A wreck near the Turner Turnpike gate Thursday evening caused significant traffic congestion, closing an inside lane for almost an hour.

A dog was reportedly ejected from a vehicle that was involved in the wreck, according to witnesses at the scene.

The dog was rescued and returned to its owner by people who witnessed the wreck.

The inner lane of the Turner Turnpike near mile marker 220 was closed from about 6:30 p.m. to just before 7:30 p.m., the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

OHP and a tow truck were on the scene.
