Several lanes are closed on Highway 169 in Tulsa Wednesday due to a resurfacing project News On 6 has been telling you about for days.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the overall project involves just over seven miles of the highway stretching from Creek Turnpike to Interstate 44.

The contractor closed the right lane of southbound Highway 169 early Wednesday. ODOT says it will be closed until further notice.

The contractor will close the center lane of southbound 169 from I-44 to 31st Wednesday night until 6 a.m. Thursday. The off-ramp at 31st Street and the on-ramp from 21st Street will close Wednesday evening until further notice.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the $6-million project is expected to be completed by the summer of 2018.
