PSO in Tulsa is sending 300 crew members to Texas ahead of Hurricane Harvey, and the company said this will be their largest response since Superstorm Sandy in 2012.
PSO is sending line crews, tree crews and engineers to help with damage that Harvey is expected to cause.
The crew members will go to San Antonio Friday night to stay the night, then will head to Houston Saturday.
PSO said it told crew members to expect to stay about two weeks, but they're not sure if they'll be in Texas that long.
There's only one PSO group from Tulsa that's leaving for Texas Friday morning, but other groups from McAlester, Bartlesville and Lawton will be headed to Texas Friday as well.
Harvey is expected to hit as a Category 3 Hurricane.
