Sequoyah County Woman Drowns Swimming In Muskogee County Pond

A Gore, Oklahoma, woman died Sunday after she drowned while swimming in a Muskogee County pond.

Chelsea Cato, 31, was recovered from about seven feet of water in a rural pond approximately four miles south of Webbers Falls, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Cato was swimming in the pond, went under and never resurfaced, troopers said.
 
She was not using a personal flotation device, according to the OHP.
