Tulsa Police are investigating after a bank robber threatened to have a bomb Thursday, August 17.
According to Police, a woman went to the Bank of America at Pine and MLK, passed a note to the teller saying she had a bomb and demanding money.
They teller handed the woman the money, and police said the robber walked away from the bank in a northwest direction.
The robber was described as a black woman between 5-feet-10-inches and 6-feet tall with dreads to her mid chest.
Police said she was wearing a white V-neck shirt and black stretch pants and that she had an “H” tattoo on the inside of her right forearm and a “SHO” tattoo on her left arm. They also said he had a tattoo across her chest.
Police said the building was evacuated.
TPD said there was a device left behind and said the bomb squad was called in to handle it. An officer suited up and made entry into the bank. A short time later, more investigators were allowed into the building.
Police confirmed the device was not a bomb.
