The Oklahoma Highway Patrol just released new details about the car crash that killed four people from Jenks. OHP released the incident report Wednesday afternoon, and although it's vague, it does say that Erin Van Horn was distracted behind the wheel.
OHP's report says Erin Van Horn was distracted when she was driving six kids home from Turner Falls on July 17th. The report doesn't say if Van Horn was distracted by something inside or outside of the vehicle.
It says the type of distraction is "unknown." The report also states that the semi-truck was stopped in traffic.
The crash happened when Van Horn's SUV slammed into the back of a semi-truck. She died at the scene, along with her 10-year-old son Zach, and 11-year-old Beck Kitterman.
