Police arrested the driver of a car after a chase and a crash between two Tulsa homes early Thursday.
Officers said that chase started after police tried to stop the driver of a Mitsubishi Eclipse at 15th and Memorial for a broken tail light and suspected DUI.
It ended moments later when the driver, 21-year-old Lawrence Mitchell, crashed through a gate and came to a stop between the homes near King and Memorial.
Police said Mitchell and a female passenger got out and ran off, but were quickly taken into custody.
A resident told News On 6, the car came within inches of his house.
Police arrested Mitchell and questioned and released the passenger.
Mitchell was arrested on complaints of improper vehicle tail lamps, no drivers license, eluding a police officer and hit & run, according to online jail records.
