Tulsa Mother, Boyfriend Arrested For Child Abuse

A Tulsa mother and her boyfriend are in custody accused of child abuse.

Documents say it started when a 10-year-old girl went to school with bruises.

Police interviewed the girl who told police her mother’s boyfriend, Jeremy Davis, beat her with a belt because she was caught taking candy from the kitchen before Easter, documents say.

Police said they asked the girl where her mother, Tiffani Wood, was when it happened and she told them her mother is always there to make sure he doesn’t get out of control.

DHS spoke with Davis and Wood. Documents say Davis said it was ridiculous they were involved and that Wood said the girl fights him and makes things worse.

According to documents, Wood also admitted Davis investigated in Texas for excessive discipline and abuse.

Davis was taken into custody for child abuse by injury; Wood was arrested for permitting child abuse.
