Catoosa Police have identified the victim in a deadly shooting Tuesday, May 30. Police said a fight between two co-workers left one man dead outside their workplace and one in custody.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Cody Thurman. Police say he was shot and killed by Steven Northcutt, 46.
Catoosa Police officers said the Northcutt shot Thurman at least three times, killing him. When officers arrived, they found Thurman lying down in the gravel parking lot. Northcutt, they said, surrendered right away.

"He came out with his hands up. He laid the weapon down inside the building, did what we asked him to do," Chief Kevin McKim said.
Investigators don't know what the suspect and victim were arguing about before the shooting, only that they worked together at a truck repair company.
Chief of Police Kevin McKim said Northcutt has refused to speak with them or give a statement. He said both men are from Catoosa and neither has had any dealings with the department in the past.
McKim said they released Northcutt pending further investigation. Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting Catoosa Police.
