A Broken Arrow man now has FEMA approval for a tornado shelter that fits under your bed.

It looks like a typical King-sized bed, but under the pillows and comforter and mattress is a tornado shelter that you can slide into.

Russell Girod created the new shelter when he didn't like his current options.

"Didn't want to spend $5,000 on a shelter and I didn't want to get in the ground, I didn't like the idea of possibly getting trapped," he said.

With the FEMA approval, Girod will begin making and selling the shelters immediately.
