A Rogers County man is in jail after deputies said he threw a rock through the window of a moving car that his wife was in Saturday, May 27, 2017.
An affidavit said Brian Tisdell left his wife at the Hard Rock Casino after an argument. She told authorities she was able to get a ride home and called her husband to tell him she was on her way.
When they pulled into the driveway, Tisdell shined a flashlight at the vehicle and threw the rock, according to the affidavit.
Deputies said glass fragments from the window hit a man who was taking Tisdell's wife home.
When the man got to the hospital around 5 a.m. Saturday, deputies said the victim had shards of glass in his head and near his eye. He had to have surgery to remove the fragments, hospital staff told authorities.
Tisdell claims he tried to throw the rock at a metal pole to make noise but accidentally hit the car window instead, court records show.
Deputies said when they went to arrest Tisdell, he said what he did was stupid and he was sorry he'd done it. He was booked on a complaint of assault with a dangerous weapon.
