Strong to severe storms across eastern Oklahoma look likely Saturday afternoon and evening.
Make sure you know where an indoor shelter will be just in case these storms threaten your location.
On Saturday, storms could develop along a dry line out to our west and along an approaching front from the north.
The atmosphere is very unstable and will be able to sustain some dangerous storms. Hail up to the size of baseballs will be possible, storms will be able to produce 75 to 80 mph wind gusts and atmosphere conditions will be enough to have a few tornadoes develop.
Weather Alerts
It’s hot and humid both Friday and Saturday,so heading out to the lake or the pool sounds great! But be sure to download our NewsOn6 weather app on your phone and you can stay alert to the weather wherever you are.
While storms may threaten your Saturday, Sunday and Monday on the other hand look good. The UV Index will be high so you will need sunscreen from the late morning hours through the afternoons.
As always have a fun and safe weekend.
