Saturday was perfect to get rid of confidential paperwork.

People showed up at Promenade Mall to shred their papers and raise money for Tulsa Crime Stoppers. Based on the response, Crime Stoppers is looking to add more shredding events to the calendar.

Representatives from Tulsa County Sheriff's Office were also on hand and said it's a great way to prevent identity theft.

Tulsa Crime Stoppers supports local law enforcement agencies by offering anonymous cash rewards to people with information that helps solve a crime.
