Creek County Toddler Drowns In Swimming Pool

A Creek County toddler is dead in a drowning Saturday evening, May 13. The boy was found in a pool around 6 p.m. in the 8900 bock of South 39th West Avenue.

He was taken to the hospital in Tulsa where he died, according to Corporal Patrick Bradshaw, Creek County Sheriff's Office.

Tulsa Fire Department Public Information Officer Stan May said a neighbor drove to a nearby fire station to ask for help after the boy was found in the pool. 

The boy is around age 2, he said. Bradshaw said they are investigating but it appears to be a tragic accident. A neighbor told News On 6 the child was staying with his grandparents.

Creek County Ambulance and the Creek County Sheriff's Office were on scene.
