A Tulsa teacher has a new home right across the street from work.
Habitat for Humanity presented Randi Cowan keys to her new home in the Kendall Whittier neighborhood, right near the elementary school where she works.
Cowan said the opportunity to own a home through Habitat will allow her to keep teaching in Tulsa.
"I'm so honored and proud that people see that there's a need in education,” she said. “They care enough to do something about it. They care about our children and the future of our children. And this just shows how much."
The home is the first Bronze certified home in Oklahoma, meaning it's built to sustain high winds and hail.
