Authorities say a missing southeastern Oklahoma woman has been found dead. Police in Wilburton told reporters that a body found Saturday near a creek has been identified as that of 73-year-old Carole Kirkpatrick of Wilburton.
Police say Kirkpatrick was found shortly after her car was found and that it's believed the car was swept off the roadway during a flash flood.
Police say Kirkpatrick was last heard from on May 1 and that she was reported missing on Friday after her grandson went to her home and found it vacant.
