A woman was taken to a hospital after Tulsa Firefighters rescued her out of her car after police said she lost control on the Broken Arrow Expressway and slid down an embankment.
Tulsa Fire Department spokesman Stan May said they got the call at about 6:45 a.m. Sunday. about the crash near the BA Expressway and Sheridan Road.
Firefighters said the woman was able to get out of the car on her own after they cut open her windshield to rescue her, and the woman had a cut on her head and was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
Police said the woman told them she was driving on the BA when she lost control and her vehicle slid down the embankment.
Police are investigating the crash and the reason she lost control of her vehicle.
