In the Westport area of Keystone Lake, there are snapped trees, one that crashed down onto a fifth wheel and caused some minor damage, just narrowly missing a motorcycle.
That's just the beginning of the damage found in the Edgewater Mobile Home and RV Park.
Several mobile homes were damaged when trees fell on them.
“Hail, wind, you name it, it was happening,” said Westport resident Hailey Mitchell.
Mitchell, her husband and two dogs were inside their mobile home when the storm blew through.
“We didn't know what was going on,” Mitchell stated. “It was loud. It was just like a big crash. It sounded like lightning and thunder. It was scary.”
Inside, part of living room and kitchen ceiling is caved in, smashing the coach and cabinets.
They were in the other part of the house when the severe weather hit.
If the tree would have fallen the other way, the outcome could have been different.
“It would have hit us,” said Mitchell. “And who knows what would have happened.”
But it didn't happen that way and Mitchell is thankful and also certain everything will be all right.
“It's life,” she said. “We'll deal with it. It's ok. We'll be fine.”
The property owner said he'll spend the weekend cleaning up the damage the storm left behind. And News On 6 is happy to report there were no injuries.
