Police are looking for the driver of a stolen car after a chase and crash in northwest Tulsa early Thursday.
Officers tried to stop a maroon Hyundai Elantra in the 800 block of North 39th West Avenue at about 3 a.m. They say they called off the pursuit because it hit dangerous speeds.
The car was last seen headed east in the 3000 block of West Easton Street.
A short time later, police located the Hyundai after it apparently collided with a stop sign at Easton and North Gilcrease Museum Road. They said a witness saw the driver run south from the crash scene, but police couldn't find him.
