A Tulsa business was the site of vandalism including arson early Monday morning, April 24. An arson investigator said someone used an "ignitable liquid" to start a fire inside a midtown chiropractic office.
Someone also spray-painted obscenities on the outside of Peace Chiropractic that appear to be aimed at a specific person.
Police said emergency alarms went off around 5 a.m. at the business complex located at 4134 South Harvard. When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the chiropractor's office.
The fire was mostly contained to the lobby of one office, News On 6 was told. Messages in red spray paint on several exterior walls of the building appear to be warnings from a spouse suspecting infidelity.
Dr. Robert Peace issued a statement that he, his family and his staff are in complete shock after the attack.
"Based on the vandalism and what we have learned from the Fire Marshall, it appears we are dealing with an individual who is both confused and may have targeted the wrong office."
Peace said they are working with the authorities and that his top priorities are ensuring the safety of his family and staff as well as determining how they can serve patients.
Police said no one was inside the business at the time of the incident.
Tulsa Fire Department said the are looking for possible surveillance video. If you know anything, call the arson tip line at 918-596-ARSN.
