Hugo Woman Dies In Choctaw County Crash

A 25-year-old Hugo woman died in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning west of Soper in Choctaw County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. 

Troopers said Dorothy H. Marko's Chevy pickup was traveling eastbound on US-70 when her truck departed the roadway to the right, overcorrected and then departed the roadway on the left and struck a tree. 

Marko was transported by air ambulance to Baylor Hospital in McKinney, Texas, and was pronounced dead with trunk internal injuries, the collision report shows. 

Troopers are still investigating the cause of the collision, and the report states it's unknown if Marko was wearing a seatbelt.
