Purple Heart Society Returns Medal To WWII Veteran's Family

On the Home Front, The Purple Heart Society, Payne County Chapter, found and returned Sergeant Thedore Staples medal to his family in Krebs.

Staples was killed in action in Italy in 1943.

Chartered by Congress in 1958, the Military Order of the Purple Heart is composed of military men and women who received the Purple Heart medal for wounds suffered in combat.
