North winds are ushering in slightly cooler weather for what looks to be a pleasantly cool Black Friday across eastern Oklahoma!
If you’re headed out to nab some Black Friday deals, keep a jacket handy! That north breeze will generally stay around 10 miles per hour or less for most of the day, but it’ll be just strong enough to keep a chill in the air.
We will see plenty of sunshine as the day progresses after some high clouds early in the day. Afternoon highs look to climb into the upper 50s, which is very typical for this time of year. Not a bad day at all to get outside and work off that Thanksgiving turkey!
High pressure settles back into eastern Oklahoma overnight, which means a much colder and frostier start to Saturday as temperatures bottom out. Upper 20s to low 30s appear common by early Saturday morning!
South winds will quickly return during the daytime hours of Saturday, which means a bigger warm-up to kick off the weekend. Highs will surge back into the low to mid 60s with plenty of sunshine once again.
Conditions will turn downright windy and quite mild as we head into Sunday and a stronger storm system arrives. Scattered showers and a few storms will be possible across northeast Oklahoma by the latter half of Sunday, and as another cold front surges into Green Country a few stronger storms will be possible by Monday.
In the wake of that next cold front, some much chillier weather will filter back in by the middle of next week, just in time to kick off the month of December!
