Police: Couple Leaving Claremore Bar Crash Into Beauty Shop

Claremore police say a local business sustained damage after a car crash Friday night.

Police say a couple left a local bar and was driving on a Lynn Riggs service road going about 60 miles per hour when it crashed into Carol’s Place Hair and Nail Salon.

Police said the couple had apparently been drinking at a nearby bar and chose to drive home.

The driver, Paula Washington, was taken to the hospital for internal injuries, the extent of which is unknown.

Police said Washington was arrested for suspicion of DUI and the passenger, Michael Millison, for public intoxication.

The owner of the salon, Carol Graham, said they will have to board up the store and have canceled all appointments for Saturday.
