Fall weather has thankfully returned to eastern Oklahoma, setting us up for a gorgeous weekend. At long last, it looks like fall will be sticking around for a while!
Some high clouds will hang around for the morning hours with a gradual increase in sunshine as we head into the afternoon hours of our Saturday. Afternoon temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than what we had on Friday, with low 70s expected across the majority of eastern Oklahoma as winds remain fairly light. What a beautiful day!
As we head into Sunday, a stubborn storm system across the southwest United States will send additional high clouds back into eastern Oklahoma with showers starting to develop across western Oklahoma. Those increasing clouds will again trim our high temperatures back a few more degrees into the upper 60s to low 70s to wrap up the weekend.
A few showers may try to move into eastern Oklahoma by Sunday night, but the much better chance of scattered showers and a few storms comes on Monday across eastern Oklahoma as storm system will kick out across the southern Plains. Temperatures may struggle to get out of the 50s for much of the day Monday, depending on how widespread rain becomes!
Rain showers look to become more isolated on Election Day Tuesday, but continued clouds will keep us cool to mild in the 50s and 60s for much of the day as you head out to vote. Periods of clouds and cooler temperatures look likely to persist into much of next week as we settle into much more typical early November weather.
