Some Owasso students on Tuesday learned ways to avoid spreading germs.

Tulsa's Hillcrest Medical Center and the Tulsa Health Department kicked off the 13th annual "Don't Bug Me" flu prevention campaign at Smith Elementary School.

The "Don't Bug Me" campaign teaches kids how to prevent spreading the flu bug to their friends and family.

"We teach them some good hygiene things like cough into your sleeve and use a tissue," said Kevin Gross with Hillcrest Healthcare System.

Fourteen people have been hospitalized across Oklahoma by the flu already this year.  Tulsa County has the most cases with three.
