This election, two are vying for the position of Tulsa County Sheriff - Incumbent Vic Regalado and challenger Rex Berry.
Both said taking over workings at the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office will be challenging, but they are willing to take it on.
While both admit their approach to the job is different, they said honesty is paramount.
"We may not agree, but I believe if you bring that believability to the role things will move forward," Regalado said.
"I consider it a moral duty to speak honestly and factually with the public," Berry said.
Regalado has been the Tulsa County Sheriff for seven months after he took over after Sheriff Stanley Glanz stepped down.
He said repairing the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office's image won't be done overnight.
"Tremendous amount of things that still need to be done but we've made great strides and I hope the citizens of Tulsa County will see that and continue to give me their support," Regalado said.
So far during his term, Regalado said he's improved the budget and is working to improve community policing.
His opponent said it's not enough.
He said he hasn't seen much change at all.
Berry claims many of the issues surrounding jail operations and staff have stayed the same.
"The more I looked into the problems, the more I got concerned that Regalado was just going to be an extension of Stanley Glanz," Berry said.
Berry has about 15 more years worth of law enforcement experience than Regalado.
He said that gives him a better sense of organization, communication and management.
Early voting starts November 4, 2016.
