Some Muskogee residents are currently without water service as crews work on a 12-inch water line that split Wednesday.

Crews are replacing approximately 30 feet of pipe to completely replace the 12-inch pipe underneath the driveway, the City of Muskogee reported on its Facebook page.

Crews are gathering repair materials to begin repairing the line soon, officials said just before 1 p.m. Wednesday. They expect the repair to last four to six hours.

The city reported the break at the 3200 block of North York Street.

The areas affected include the Country Club Golf Course along Harris Road to York Street, the town of Okay and possibly the town of Porter, the city stated.

The neighborhoods on the north and south of Harris Road could also be impacted.

The city said its crew will replace a 30-foot section of the pipe and the repair should take four to six hours.l
