Police Release Name Of Man Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting

Tulsa Police have released the name of a man shot and killed by officers late Friday afternoon, October 21, 2016. He is 58-year-old William Frost.

The names of the two officers involved in the fatal shooting were also released. Officer Jim Brill and Officer Lance Bond are on paid leave pending the results of an investigation.

Two people called TPD around 4:40 p.m. Friday to say a man was approaching people while carrying a knife at the intersection of Utica and 1st Street. Video shows police yelling at the man to drop the knife. Police first used a Taser then shot Frost few seconds later.

It is the sixth fatal shooting by Tulsa Police in 2016.
