A woman running after sideswiping one car crashed into the side of an ambulance that was transporting a patient, according to Tulsa police. The woman crashed into the ambulance near 71st and Riverside.

Police said the woman hit the side of a black car and kept going. The driver of the black car, Daniel Close, followed her to where she broadsided an ambulance that was turning. He said he was going to get her plate information but ended up calling 911 for the second crash.

EMSA transferred the patient to another ambulance which continued to the hospital. Neither he nor the ambulance personnel were hurt.

Authorities told News On 6 they ticketed the woman for hit and run, driving under suspension, failure to stay in her lane and running a stop light. She had slight injuries and was treated at the scene.

Officers released her to her father but said she may be arrested later.
