A Tulsa judge dismissed the case and expunged the record Friday of a Broken Arrow man charged in 2014 with negligent homicide for his role in a deadly wreck that killed a young mother.
Danny Deason, 65, was driving a Mazda Miata that collided with a PT Cruiser on the Broken Arrow Expressway near Sheridan on May 1, 2014.

Lauren Hensel, 24, the driver of the PT Cruiser, died after being thrown out of the vehicle in the crash. Her 5-year-old son, who was in a car seat, survived with only minor injuries. Police said Hensel wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
Deason made an unsafe lane change and clipped the front of Hensel's car and sending it off the highway where it rolled onto its top, according to court documents.
He was also charged with one count of unsafe lane change.
Deason pleaded guilty in October 2014 to negligent homicide and unsafe lane change and received a deferred sentence that was to end October 21, 2016.
At his hearing Friday, Deason was allowed to withdraw his previous guilty plea and entered a plea of not guilty, according to court documents. The judge then dismissed the case and Deason's record was expunged, court documents show.
