It is now less than a month away from the general election in November.

In an exclusive News On 6 poll conducted last week, 38-percent said the economy matters most. That includes taxes and job creation.

Closely behind was education with 31-percent.

Twenty-one-percent said social issues like abortion and marriage protection are most important.

Education is a top issue for Oklahoma voters and a state question directly affecting teachers is on the statewide ballot in November.

State Question 779 would increase the state sales tax by one cent to provide a $5,000 raises for all public school teachers.

Where do most Oklahomans stand on this issue?

We'll have those results of that exclusive News On 6 poll Wednesday at News On 6 at 6 p.m.
