The City of Sand Springs is offering get-out-of-jail-free cards for some residents.
On November 11, anyone with arrest warrants for unpaid fines can erase up to $200 worth of their debt and set up a payment plan for the rest.
That's only if they bring in non-perishable food items for Sand Springs Community Services.
One food item will count for $10 worth of their unpaid fines.
They're calling the program ‘Food for Fines.’
The City said more than 3,000 people have outstanding warrants.
