The man convicted in a crash that killed an 8-year-old girl in Owasso in 2014 will be spending decades in prison.

A Tulsa County jury convicted Jack O'Donnell, 24, last week of driving under the influence in 2014 and causing a three-vehicle crash that killed 8-year-old Katelyn Chambers.

A Tulsa judge sentenced O'Donnell to a maximum of more than 40 years in prison on several counts.

In 2014, O'Donnell was driving a Ford F-250 with a trailer on Highway 169 when he slammed into the back of a Honda Accord. Eight-year-old Katelyn Chambers was killed; her father was left with severe head trauma and Katelyn's 5-year-old brother was also hurt.

A police affidavit shows O'Donnell's blood test came back showing drugs in his system, including marijuana.

At his sentencing Monday, the judge ordered O'Donnell to serve two concurrent 35-year sentences for two 2012 drug charges and an additional 14 years for the crash.
