Tulsa Police are looking for a suspect in connection with the assault and abduction of a man who was stuffed in his car's trunk early Tuesday.
The 22-year-old victim told officers he was attacked after going to the home of an underage girl he had met on a social website. Instead of meeting the girl, he told police he was confronted by the girl's family, beaten up and thrown into the trunk of his car.
Police said it all happened at the 4600 block of North Hartford Avenue at around 1 a.m.
When officers arrived, the car drove off with the victim still in the trunk. Police said their helicopter tracked the car to the 5400 block of North Elgin, where it crashed in the front yard of a home.
Police found the victim in the trunk. They said EMSA treated and released the victim at the scene for some minor injuries.
A police search on the ground and in the air for the driver was unsuccessful.
