Police are investigating the death of a six-week-old boy in Muskogee on Wednesday.
According to a news release, police were called to a report of an unresponsive infant in the 400 block of South 34th Street at about 4:45 a.m.
They arrived and found the infant inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the boy's guardian went to work Wednesday morning, then went to daycare in the afternoon to pick him up, but they told her she never dropped him off.
The daycare told police she ran back to her car in a panic and realized the baby had been in her car all day
