Court Denies Appeal For Owasso Officer Facing Excessive Force Charges

There’s new information in a case involving body cam video of an Owasso police officer hitting an inmate.

Mike Denton sued the City of Owasso and the police department for releasing the video, saying it was a form of retaliation.

A lower court ruled against Denton, and Monday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit struck down his appeal.

Denton currently faces excessive force charges connected to another video that shows him hitting a suspect with a shotgun after a high speed chase.
