TFD Honors Fallen Firefighters

Sunday afternoon, the Tulsa Fire Department honored area firefighters who have died within the last year.

Families who lost someone got a flower to represent that loss, while a bell rang across the ceremony for each fallen firefighter.

“The remembrance of the older firefighters that brought us and have taught us what we need to survive,” said Broken Arrow firefighter, Mark White.

The memorial honored firefighters either killed in the line of duty or who passed away in retirement.
